    Basics

  • What is LocalPostal?

  • We're a direct mail service that handles all of the logistics for you (list compiling, printing, and fulfillment) and combines it with streamlined (or assisted) design. Read more here

  • Why should I use Direct Mail?

  • We make setting up and running ongoing, effective direct mail campaigns easy. In particular, we save you from having to work with list brokers, design houses, printers, and fulfillment services for each campaign. We also have targeted lists based on life events, like moving and buying a new home, when customers are most receptive to new offers, products, and services. Read more here

  • What do you mean by "Ongoing Campaigns"?

  • Every month, there are new potential customers in your geographic area going through life changes, like moving or buying a new home, that make them highly receptive to your offer. We help you set up campaigns that will target these new potential customers each and every month so that you get an ongoing stream of new customers.

Unlike other direct mail services that help you set up one-time campaigns ("Summer Sale!") that have to be redone every cycle, our ongoing campaigns require only one setup. Set it up once – then let it run month after month.

  • What do you mean by "Monthly Budgets"?

  • We help you set up automated campaigns that target new potential customers month after month. Just set (and change or stop at anytime) the maximum budget you want to spend each month on mailers and we'll handle the rest.

  • Pricing & Billing

  • What does the price per mailer cover?

  • Mailing List: Each month, we construct a list of recipients who match your life event, demographic, and geographic targets.
    Printing: Full-color, front-and-back printing
    Postage: Postage included
Design Review: Every campaign gets a review before it goes live.
Design Assistance: If requested, our expert marketers and designers will help design and structure your campaign.

  • What if my monthly budget isn't fully used?

  • If there aren't enough potential new customers within your geographic and demographic restrictions to meet your maximum budget, then:

    1. The rate you will be charged will be based on the actual number of mailers that go out, which might increase your per-mailer cost

    2. You will be refunded any unspent budget.

If your campaign is regularly falling short of your budget, you should expand your geographic and/or demographic restrictions.

  • Why am I getting a refund?

  • If there weren't enough potential new customers satisfying your geographic and demographic restrictions to meet your budget in a month, you will get a refund for the unspent amount.

  • Printing & Mailing

  • How often do you print and send?

  • Bi-monthly

  • When do you send out my mailers?

  • The processes start on the 1st and 15th of the month and are typically finished within a week.

  • Why does it say XX days until print?

  • This is the countdown timer until the next fulfillment date. We regularly go to press in the first and third weeks of each month.

  • Campaigns

  • I'm new to this. How do I make an effective campaign?

  • Contact us here! We have expert marketers and designers who would love to help.

If you want to do it yourself, we've set up templates to encourage proven, effective designs. Everything from layouts to fonts to necessary elements (and content restrictions) have been thoroughly thought through. Each of our webpages also has pop-up info boxes with suggestions and explanations.

  • How targeted should my campaigns be?

  • One pitch per campaign. If your campaign would be better served by incorporating geography or demographics into your messaging, split the campaign into segmented target groups, each with its own campaign.

  • Can I copy one of my campaigns to use for a new one?

  • That's a great idea, and we're working on it!

  • My Account

  • Can I add multiple users to my account?

  • Not yet, but let us know if that's important to you. In the short-term, it's best to use a general (and perhaps dedicated) company email address and then give other users access.

  • How do I close my account?

  • Just shoot us an email at accounts localpostal.io or use the contact form.

We'd appreciate it if you'd let us know why you're closing your account so we can improve our offering.
